I'm Rob, and I started ARC Cars with a simple goal: to offer a specialised service that genuinely cares for people and their pets. After 10 years working in the taxi industry and listening to passengers' experiences, I saw a clear need for something more understanding and inclusive, especially when it comes to travelling with animals.
At ARC Cars, we believe a taxi ride should feel simple, welcoming, and stress-free when you’re travelling with a pet. We’ve built our service around care, reliability, and comfort, making sure everyone, whether human or animal, feels safe and looked after.
Whether it’s a trip to the vet, groomers, or just across town for some pub grub we’re here to help you get there and back with ease. Based in Leeds, we know the city well and take real pride in offering a local, friendly service with a personal touch.

What types of pets are allowed in the taxi?

How do you ensure the vehicles are clean and safe for pets?
Our vehicles are thoroughly cleaned after each ride to maintain a hygienic environment for both pets and owners.
Can I travel with my pet on all routes?
ARC Cars runs a pet and owner service. We do not take pets without the owner to appointments, such as vets, groomers or walks etc.
Do I need to book in advance?
We know that pet owners like to be organised as do we at ARC Cars. Therefore , currently our booking policy is a minimum of 12 hours in advance. This way we can avoid disappointment. ensuring there is vehicle available for your ride.
Are there any additional charges for pets?
No - there are no additional costs. Depending on your pet's size and specific needs, there might be a small fee. Please check our pricing structure for detailed information
Are your drivers experienced with pets?
The responsibility of the pet is with you the owner. However, all of our drivers are animal lovers and have knowledge and experience ensuring a safe journey for both you and your pet.
What if my pet has an accident in the taxi?
We understand accidents happen. Our drivers will assist you in cleaning up, and a clean up fee may apply depending on the situation.
Can I travel alone without a pet in a pet-friendly taxi?
Of course! Our pet-friendly taxis are also comfortable for solo travellers who appreciate our pet-friendly service.
What is your policy on cancellations and refunds?
Cancellations made more than 12 hour before the scheduled pickup will not incur a charge.
Cancellations within 12 hours may be charged up to 50% of the fare. No-show bookings or cancellations at the pickup point are non-refundable.
Refunds (where applicable) will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 working days, subject to bank processing times. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
